  • Cinematography by Anthony B. Richmond.

  • Distributed by 20th Century Fox.
  • Important Actors were Torn Guiry, Mike Vitar, James Earl Jones.
  • Scott Smalls the main character of the movie, who is reminiscing on his first summer in Los Angeles. In 1962, Smalls moves with his mother and stepfather to a new neighborhood, and struggles to make new friends. One afternoon, he decides to follow a group of neighborhood boys, and watches them play an improvised game of baseball at a small field, which they call the “sandlot.” As Smalls gets better the team starts to accept him more, until one day where Benny hits a pop fly and the ball breaks. The other kids look at it as an omen when Smalls rushes home to steal his stepfathers autographed baseball signed by Babe Ruth himself... Smalls not being the biggest baseball fan had no idea how much this ball meant. The movie takes off from there, now with their efforts to get the ball back from "the Beast." Its absolutely an all time favorite for every kid and adult.
