- Garden State is about Andrew Largeman (Braff) a not to well known actor journeys back to his home town of New Jersey because of the tragic death of his mother. Largeman runs into his friends from highschool who were the gravediggers at the cemetery now. Largeman had always been medicated since he was a young boy so while he was home he got his head looked at to see if there was anything wrong, in the waiting room he encounters a young girl named Sam (Portman) she has epilepsy. Throughout the movie it shows their journey of the days Largeman is home. WIth a heartfelt ending and moments this movie easily touches your heart and uncovers the Largeman, Sam, or Mark in you.
